Smash Bros. Lyrics Interpretation
March 28, 2008, 10:19 PM by ebuch

When I first watched this, I laughed so hard. For those of you who don't know, the Title Screen song for Brawl is sung in Japanese, which gives us Americans another good laugh at their language. Enjoy the video! ^_^

news Greetings From Kansas City, Missouri!!
April 12, 2008, 10:33 AM by ebuch
Hey everybody, I finally got the chance to access some internets after a few days, and I just thought that I would tell everyone how I'm doing.  Right now, I am in Kansas City, I'm here to go to two of the three MN Twins v. KC Royals games.  Here is the full story if you're interested, I'll add photos later.

I left on Thursday night, right after rocking the Talent Show's audience with our high voltage rock, my stepdad, two of his friends, me, and one of my friends took off for Fargo, ND.  We then met up with the person who would be providing the car in which we were going to take the whole 9 hour drive down to Kansas City in.  Of course, the day that we left, there had to be a big winter storm coming through.  We drove 3 hours down to Sisseton, South Dakota, going 30-40mph the whole way.

The next day (Saturday) we set off from Sisseton, and the roads were still bad.  The wind was unbelievable.  We saw one spot on interstate where there were 13 (we counted) cars in the ditch.  All within a quarter mile of each other.  I swear that white truck ran into the semi... Don't know what happened there.  Once we got past Sioux Falls, SD, the roads were great, and we took off at 80mph.  We got here at about 5:00pm, so we had a little time to spend before the baseball game.  The game was awesome!  But it was so windy, but even colder, and there were so many little plastic hotdog wrappers all over the field.  The Twins came out on top with a 5-0 victory over Kansas City, and it was a great game followed up with a fantastic fireworks display.  We went to bed shortly after swimming in the pool, and watching TV.

Today, were gonna go see what we can find here in KC, and then go to the second Twins game tonight.  Forecast is looking a little less windy from last night, so it should be a little more enjoyable.  Coming back home tomorrow...It's sad, it went fast.

I'll see if I can't update with some pictures tonight.  We're gonna try and make it to Omaha, NE to try and take a little bit of the car driving load off for tomorrow.  Cheers!

news Today, I said goodbye to Smash Bros. Melee
March 07, 2008, 10:19 PM by ebuch
With today being the eve of my first Smash Bros. Brawl experience, I decided to share a couple last words with my long time friend, Melee.  Here is a little bit of what I told it.

Dear Smash Bros. Melee,

What a great game you turned out to be!  When I first bought you, I thought, "Hey, this game might be worth a shot."  And it was.  I instantly became enthralled in the rapid gameplay, requiring the sharpest of reflexes, and action combos.  Even though, I never really found time to find all of your trophies, to beat Final Destination, or to find your glitches, I enjoyed you all the same.  I don't remember how to unlock all of your characters and stages, but I do remember you screwing M. Kava over by spawning a crate in a unfortunate spot.  Even though your era has come to an end, we will never forget those times we had playing you for hours on end.  We look forward to playing the game that you helped create, and we promise to not let you get too dusty inside the TV drawer.

Dedicated gamer,
ebuch

As some of you may already know, I have been actively involved with another great community of gaming fans from ZREOmusic.com.  For the past week, I have been setting up my own radio station that broadcasts the music of 2 fan projects in the ZREO community live from my house.  ZREO of course, and a smaller project called POA (Pokemon Orchestral Arrangement.)  The music is made by the teams when they take a normal MIDI, and give it mp3 quality instruments instead of plain old synth.  The product of their work is a clean sounding rendition of the songs that we so loved to whistle all day when it got stuck in our head for hours.  The music isn't always going be Zelda, or Pokemon though.  Every now and again, you'll hear a song from a different game that was made by one of the members.  If you ever see one of the members hanging out around here, make sure you tell them what a great job that they are doing.  Additional information can be found at the following links.

news Brawl to be Released in NA in one month
January 10, 2008, 12:24 AM by ebuch
What else can I really say?  I'm excited for Brawl to come out.  You can tell that the whole gaming crowd is waiting for its arrival.  The Dojo even came out with a pretty good update yesterday, announcing the existence as Captain Olimar and Pikmin as a playable character.  Should be interesting to have him around.  I wonder what they will do for a Pikmin themed stage?  *Sigh...The closer the date gets, the longer it seems to take.  The Japanese are lucky...January 24th is their release date, 2 weeks from today.

news 4-Year-Old Takes "Wii" Seriously
January 02, 2008, 09:39 PM by ebuch
One young toddler has finally made the ultimate joke on his brother.  4-year-old Ellis Emsley (pictured right) took his mother a little too literally when she told him that it was "his turn on the Wii next."  I feel sorry for Danny, (pictured left) because a water-logged Wii is pretty much useless as far as playing with.  (I can think of a few things I would do with a Wii shell...)  Someone should buy the poor kid a new Wii, for making the first potty joke we've heard since the Wii's name was first released.
